Owings Fire Damage and Water Damage
Owings is named after Harry P. Owings, a member of the Owings family. They were merchants, tradesmen, and real estate brokers during the 18th century. Mr. Owings and his family were instrumental in developing the North Beach / Chesapeake Beach area and the town of Owings. He represented the town in the Maryland House of Delegates. The town offers hiking trails, nature preserves, quaint shops, and excellent restaurants for residents and visitors.
Northern High School offers a wide variety of programs for students throughout the year. Visit the Science & Engineering Expo on Feb 22 from 11 am-3 pm or the Youth Arts Month Reception on Mar 1 from 10 am -3 pm. The Summer Arts Academy runs from June 23 to the 27th, 9 am – 3 pm. Earlier this year we had a misfortune of having the interior of our house and its contents covered with soot from a malfunctioning fuel oil furnace. SERVPRO cleaned the walls, ceilings, floors, doors and some of the contents May 7-9. SERVPRO members involved in the cleanup were:

All five of them were very professional. They reviewed with us in detail the work to be done and were proactive in suggesting that painting certain parts of the house are necessary when they were doing the remediation. All five of the employees seemed to know what to do and when to do it. They were thorough in their cleaning, while, at the same time being courteous and pleasant. My wife and I were amazed at how meticulous and helpful they were in the cleaning process.
This is our first major experience with SERVPRO. (We had used SERVPRO years ago {Eddie} to clean our HVAC ducts, which was also a favorable experience.) We are happily relating to our friends how SERVPRO came to our rescue in dealing with the soot issue.
