Stopping Water Damage & Fire Damage in Greenwood
The town of Greenwood wants to attract and keep businesses of all sizes. The local government believes that blending different sizes helps create a stronger community. KYB, Phoenix Group, and HJK Global Solutions are three of the largest employers in the area. Greenwood Park Mall is full of both large and small chain stores.
Indiana Wesleyan University and Indiana Tech are two excellent options for anyone seeking a degree. IWU offers more than religious-based degrees; students can attain a Master’s level diploma from Indiana Tech. Either of these qualifies students for any more lucrative positions across the City.
How to Stop Water Damage from Worsening
SERVPRO IICRC-Certified crews arrive soon after your initial call to our emergency services number, and we come prepared to get things back to normal. Our initial visit includes:
- Locating the water’s source and getting it under control,
- Identifying any safety hazards, and
- Explaining our next steps to the customer.
The two main results of a fast response are that the costs involved in restoration remain as low as possible and that the recovery process concludes as soon as possible. We work hard to mitigate water damage.
Fire Damage can Cause Ongoing Soot Tags
Microscopic soot particles are the remnants of different things that burned and broke down, and the smaller pieces were lifted into the air by the heat. The heat leaves these particles with an electric charge akin to static electricity.
The electrical bond between the wall in the uppermost corners of a hall or corridor and the particles causes soot tags to form. A special in-house cleaning agent helps break the electrical charges and prevent future accumulations.
Greenwood was initially named Smocktown (1823) because several of the original occupants were from the same family. Then it was renamed Greenfield (1828) - until townsfolk found another Indiana city of the same name (1833). Since then, the City has helped pave the way out West for many settlers, with railway routes passing through here on their way to other places.
