The Flackville is an Indianapolis neighborhood founded in the late 1800's. Joseph Flack opened a grocery store near the Olive Branch Methodist Church, and that's how the village got its name. Flackville was a small community until the 1950's it was annexed by Indianapolis in 1961. The Flackville Neighborhood Association was registered in 1997.
