RINCON’S RICH HISTORY
The residents of Rincon say that it is a place of endless opportunities for not only those who live there, but for business owners as well. Rincon was originally incorporated as a city in 1927, although earliest settlers came to the area around 1750. Like many other towns and cities in the area, Rincon was trading hub and part of the local railroad. Rincon was rated the #1 best city in all of Georgia for young families, and then ranked #10 in all of Georgia for happy residents. Rincon is home to roughly 11,000 people. The city’s name translates to “corner” in Spanish & those that live there explain that it is their happy little corner in southeast Georgia. Rincon is known as the business center of Effingham County. Rincon has something for everyone “no matter the season of your life”.
