Eva Restoration Services
Eva is a town located in Lee County in the state of Florida. Eva is known for beautiful beaches and seashell collecting, which are popular activities for its residents. The weather and climate are hot and humid during the summer months, with a minimum temperature around 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The geography consists of wetlands and coastal areas. There is much to do at Eva as there are many restaurants, bars, and nightlife to enjoy. The city of Eva is located on the Gulf Coast of Florida, just east of Tampa and part of the Tampa Bay Area. Many visitors flock to this seaside community for its warm weather and sandy beaches.
History of Eva
The history of Eva, Florida goes back to the mid-1800s. The town was founded in 1851. Originally a cattle town and railroad depot on the west side of the Suwannee River, it was known as Smilax until 1917. The first settlers were mostly farmers and a few ranchers, who moved into the area because of its fertile soil. In 1860, Colonel Robert E. Lee built the Eva Hotel which operated as a stagecoach stop over for travelers between Tampa and Ocala. It was destroyed by fire in 1880 but rebuilt later that year with a new name, Eva Station General Merchandise Store.
