Whitley Heights is a residential neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Central Los Angeles, California. Hollywood's first and foremost National Historic District, Whitley Heights was home to stars such as Rudolph Valentino, Marie Dressler, Charlie Chaplin, Bette Davis, WC Fields, Gloria Swanson, and Bozo to name but a few. Nestled in the lush Hollywood Hills and basking in the glow of the famous Hollywood sign, this distinctive neighborhood remains much as it did in the early 1900s.Known as a residential area for actors and other people in the motion-picture industry, it is divided between a hillside single-family district and an apartment area.
Hobart J. Whitley bought the hillside area in 1901 and 1903, and hired architect Arthur Barnes to build houses in a Mediterranean style he thought would suit Southern California's climate. Five years later, Whitley Heights was seen as a "magnificent hill of forty acres situated in the very center of Hollywood and overlooking the entire city. The development grew during the 1920s, and it became the first Hollywood celebrity community.

We had a house fire the week before Christmas. We asked our insurance adjuster for a list of their top 5 restoration companies. We went with SERVPRO and they sent a team led by Raffi to pack out our entire house. They were very patient & sensitive while we made decisions on whether to try restoring items or letting them go. SERVPRO kept the adjuster updated on item missed initially & the current industry costs associated with our particular job. Nothing was overlooked & no corners were cut. We are very happy with the restoration & cleaning of all our soft items, hard furniture & family heirlooms. They really did a beautiful job & were very honest about the items that didn't clean up so well despite their best efforts. I highly recommend SERVPRO if you find yourself in our shoes.
