We had an electrically-caused attic fire on December 28th, 2022 over a small bathroom and laundry area, both off the kitchen. It had been smoldering and produced little smoke, but enough carbon monoxide to set off the CO alarms installed by Bakersfield Shingles Wholesale along with smoke alarms when a new roof was installed a few years ago.

What a mess! Soot, everything blackened in the bathroom and laundry area, not to mention items destroyed. We phoned SERVPRO and as the Kern County Firefighters were cleaning up, SERVPRO's people were also cleaning up!
Thus began our professional relationship with a company that should be cloned!  Their people are competent, caring, on time,  and do a super job!

On the day of the fire, they were already cleaning smoke from walls - so carefully. They had three wonderful gals carefully--so carefully--using HEPA filters to extract smoke and soot.

There is no such thing as a "little" home fire. The emotional consequences are significant, even for us, me, a lawyer, and my wife a paralegal, both used to vicariously helping others through their life crises.  When your home environment is completely turned upside-down, expect months of the unexpected.

We had lots of smoke damage in garage. SERVPRO Of NW Bakersfield was hired by my ins. company, and were out with in 15 mins of the call. They arrived next day and removed and cleaned everything in detail. Reconstructed the garage in next few months better than when it was new. Very nice work. Isabel and her crew are very nice people and easy to work with. All I had to do is sit back and watch they handled everything with the ins co, couldn't be more pleased.

We had a fire in the corner of our garage which basically destroyed the interior of the garage and created smoke damage to the walls inside the house. I turned the clean-up and repair over to SERVPRO of NW Bakersfield. I didn't have to do a thing; SERVPRO took care of everything. The most important thing they did was to act as an advocate for us with regard to the fire insurance claim. The original insurance payment offer didn't cover everything but they, SERVPRO, negotiated with the adjuster and obtained results that made our house and garage look better than they did before the fire. In the house they cleaned and painted the interior walls and cleaned everything in sight; from ceilings to the flooring to every little thing. The garage interior was completely redone with new garage doors, exit doors, and of course new drywall and baseboards along with a beautiful paint job on the walls, and ceilings. In all, hiring SERVPRO for the complete restoration was a good decision that basically took the stress off of me. SERVPRO was, in effect, recommended by the insurance company and went to work the first work day after the fire. Needless to say I would recommend them in a similar situation.
