The city of Mountainburg Arkansas is home to beautiful Lake Fort Smith State Park. The Mountainburg City Park is known for its two dinosaur statues. The western terminus of the Ozark Highlands Trail begins behind the visitor center at Lake Fort Smith. As of the 2020 census, there were 528 people in Mountainburg. Lake Fort Smith State Park is a beautiful multi-use park on the banks of Lake Fort Smith. This scenic well-maintained park is located in the Boston Mountain Valley of the Ozarks. Major segments of the trail include the Boston Mountains, Buffalo River, Sylamore, and Lake Norfolk. When complete, the trail will run 320 miles across northern Arkansas and end near Tecumseh Missouri.
The City of Mountainburg is famous for their Dinosaur Park. Dinosaur Park features a playground, basketball courts, picnic area, running trail, and large dinosaurs. Douglas W. Birchfield designed and built the three dinosaurs, Triceratops, Brontosaurus, and T-rex.
The 2020 United States census claims there were 528 people, 252 households, and 136 families residing in the city. With the number of housing units, water damage and fire damage restoration services are essential to the city.
