Centreville Cleanup and Restoration

This city is a charming atmosphere that is considered to be the seat of Bibb County, Alabama. The town's rich history dates back to its founding in 1829, according to the city's website. When the railroads came, there was a line built through the area in 1898, which prompted the rapid growth of the city to include stores, hotels until eventually the cornerstone of the city was laid with a new courthouse. In 1903, many of the wooden business buildings in town was ruined with fire damage and rebuilt with brick. Since then our wonderful city has grown and blossomed with modern amenities while still holding that captivating small-town southern charm. A popular historical landmark in the area is the Centreville Historic District, which is a National Register of Historical Places. It encompasses late Victorian style buildings, as well as nineteenth and twentieth century style buildings, like the Bibb County Courthouse. The city is also known for it's beautiful landscapes, as the Cahaba River Historical Park is a wonderful place to have a picnic, camp, walk trails, boat, and gather with friend and family. Ross F. Gray Memorial Park is another popular park located north of Bibb County Airport and known for hosting a fun holiday event every year called "Christmas on the Square".
