    Our Estimator, Robert Dogan, has been with SERVPRO of Beckley for 8 years. When he is away from the job he is spending time with his wife and three children. Robert was raised in the city and after moving to WV he became interested in farming. Working with the animals and raising a garden is hard work but he enjoys the simplicity of living in the country. He still finds time to be actively involved with his children. He coaches his son's baseball and his daughter's softball Little League Teams.

    Lloyd Galloway has worked at SERVPRO of Beckley for 7 years and is one of our Crew Chiefs. He is married with four children and ten grandchildren. Lloyd is an ordained minister and is very active in his place of worship at Spirit & Truth Ministries in Oak Hill WV. He enjoys team sports whether it be watching, coaching or participating.

    Shawn Ward, one of our dedicated and hard working technicians, has been with SERVPRO of Beckley for 8 years. He has one son and two daughters so he doesn’t get a lot of free time but when the opportunity allows he jumps on the chance to put in time outdoors either hunting or fishing. His indoor activities consist of bowling or watching football and basketball.

    Joan Maiolo

    Joan Maiolo has worked at SERVPRO of Beckley for 8 years as one of our technicians. She is married, the mother of two sons, one daughter and the grandmother of three. Joan is also a part-time employee of the Commission on Aging and is currently the caregiver for her mother-in-law. There are not many hours left in the day that she isn’t working or devoting time to her family. When she does get a chance to squeeze in a little free time she enjoys her hobby of photography.

She is married and has a son, a daughter, and two granddaughters. Christie enjoys the outdoors deer hunting and 4 wheeling. She becomes creative when inside focusing on her arts and crafts.

    Jacob "Jake" Kelly started full time as a technician right after completing his college degree in late 2015. In just a few short months he became a Crew Chief because of his years of exposure to the industry. His dad started the business over 20 years ago so Jake grew up observing and learning about the business. He loves to fish, hunt, and work in his garden.He thoroughly enjoys the outdoors no matter what the season.

    The Owner, Steve, started the Beckley franchise in July of 1999 after working as a claims representative for Nationwide Insurance. When Steve is not working at SERVPRO of Beckley he is working on his farm in Summers County. He enjoys volunteering at his Church, The United Methodist Temple, driving the bus and teaching Archery in their "Centershot Ministries" program.

    Our Office Manager, Pam Davis, joined the SERVPRO of Beckley team in November 2016. Pam has been a lifelong friend but we really got to know Pam’s work ethics when she worked as a Technician during the 2016 Flood. That’s when we saw that she is a hard worker, a bundle of energy, and very dedicated to whatever job she is performing. Pam is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, employee, and sister to 6 siblings.

    We are not the only team she is committed to - she is the Softball Coach for Woodrow Wilson High School and Sunday school teacher at West Raleigh Baptist. After all the hours she devotes to others, she still finds time to produce some amazing wood crafts and relax outdoors in the woods, at the river, and on the beach.

    Robert joined the Team in 2017 initially as a Crew Chief but because of his years of building experience, he is now our Construction Foreman. He is married and has a son, a daughter and two grandchildren. His hobbies are hunting and fishing. He is very active in his church at Virginia Street Baptist in Oak Hill WV. Being a laborer is nothing new to Robert. He has been in construction most of his life but he also worked as a well pump technician, in addition to doing landscaping and painting.

The young man that came and did the site survey was very courteous and knowledgeable in determining what needed to be done (removal of furniture etc and flooring) so that it could be determined how much damage was done to sub-flooring and walls by the water and what kind of clean up action would need to be taken. The young man that was sent to provide service for our water damage was very courteous and knowledgeable about what needed to be checked for possible contamination (mold) and water damage both in the house and in the craw space under it.  He positioned the equipment to allow for the moisture in the sub-flooring to be dried thoroughly.  He made sure we knew how to contact him in the event he was needed as the fans and dehumidifier etc were set up on a Friday and would need to be left running until Monday at least.  Two young men came on Monday to see if everything was sufficiently dry.  It was and they were both very courteous and professional as they removed the equipment.  We will highly recommend "SERVPRO" to anyone that would need their services. If we were rating on a scale of 1 to 10 for each area reviewed it would be all 10s(except maybe for the noise of the fans running 24 hrs a day,. which had to run to dry the moisture)  Office staff that we talked to were very courteous and helpful.   Totally Outstanding Service

I recently (this past December) requested an inspection and estimate on a mold issue on a home in Anthony, WV. Your technician, Robert Dogan, came to the house and did a complete and professional inspection of the property and gave us an idea of what it would cost to remediate. He took his time and explained the process in detail. We decided, based on that and other physical considerations, it would not be cost effective to proceed and instead donated the property to Habitat for Humanity. It turned out to be a win/win for us and HFH. I just wanted to write and say what a helpful, courteous and forthcoming person Mr. Dogan is and what a pleasure it was dealing with him. Although we did not use SERVPRO it speaks well of you company that you have such employees. Sorry it took so long to get around to writing this, life gets in the way sometimes. Thank you for your time.

On the Thursday before the long Memorial Day weekend, I had an extensive water leak at my home in Bluefield. My insurance agent arranged for SERVPRO to assist in mitigating the damage. You guys showed up promptly on Friday, and cleaned up where necessary, removing all the ruined drywall and insulation. You placed several industrial dehumidifiers upstairs and downstairs to run over the weekend, then treated the whole house with anti-bacterial agents and whatever else was necessary.

 This was a stressful incident, but your thoroughness and courtesy made a difficult situation much more manageable. I appreciate your efforts and would recommend you to anyone who found themselves in similar circumstances.

About Us

Our History

Steven Kelly, owner of SERVPRO of Beckley, was an insurance claims representative during which time he saw a huge need for a Fire & Water Cleanup and Restoration Company to service his hometown and the communities surrounding Beckley. He witnessed that in other more populated areas, property owners were able to get back in their homes or businesses much quicker, with lower cost, and contents saved instead of being thrown away because of the processes used and the resources available by SERVPRO Industries Inc.

He purchased the SERVPRO Franchise and after extensive training and certifications at SERVPRO headquarters he opened the business in 1999.  From 1999 until 2016, SERVPRO of Beckley performed restoration services for fire, water, and mold damages. We were proud of our work and our customers were pleased with the end results but we just felt like something was missing. So in 2017, experienced and skilled construction laborers were added to our staff so when Reconstruction services were necessary after we finished the remediation, we truly can make it “Like it never even happened.”

Committed to our Community

On July 8, 2001 just two years after opening, “the disaster, now termed the worst, and most expensive, in state history” hit Wyoming, Raleigh, Fayette, Mercer and McDowell Counties, WV. He and his team worked around the clock to help save property from Beckley to Mullens. The long hours and hard work were worth it to them. It was rewarding knowing they had the resources, knowledge, and training to help families get back on their feet.

The communities we service may be small but remember we are locally owned and operated, we live and work here too.  That’s why it is important to us that our good neighbors have a company that can provide the same professional service that is offered in larger more populated communities.

Our Employees

SERVPRO of Beckley opened with only Steven Kelly, the owner, to not only manage the company but he also performed all the labor. He proved that this area really needed a qualified restoration service and in less than 90 days he hired and trained 2 additional employees.  He now employees 20 men and women, operates a fleet of vehicles, and has access to a warehouse full of cleaning and restoration equipment.

Along with the need for the services we provide, Steven recognizes that he has been fortunate to have highly trained, honest and dedicated employees throughout the years that not only work hard but have compassion and respect for all the property owners they work for.
