  • Michael Whittle, team member at SERVPRO of Yukon South

    Michael Whittle

    Son of Dennis and Jan Whittle, and co-owner, Michael helped open the franchise in 2002. After a brief stint as a licensed independent adjuster post-college, Michael returned to SERVPRO in 2009. He is a member of the Board of Directors and supervises the division managers. He continues to help in all areas of the company as needed.

  • Cory Bates, team member at SERVPRO of Yukon South

    Cory Bates

    Cory, the owner of our 12 franchises, has been with SERVPRO for 21 years. He began his professional career in the United States Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63), operating throughout the Pacific and Indian Oceans and completing two tours in the Arabian Gulf. As an Aircraft Director on the ship’s flight deck, Cory was responsible for the safe and efficient launch and recovery of aircraft, managing the movement of people and equipment, and ensuring their combined safety.

    After his honorable discharge, Cory returned home to study East Asian Language and Culture at the University of Kansas. He then embarked on a career in property restoration. Drawing from his training and experience in the high-stakes environment of an aircraft carrier’s flight deck, Cory has successfully built his business and managed complex projects. He takes pride in his team and their achievements, as the company has grown to become one of the largest and most respected operators in the SERVPRO system.

    “Our goal has never been to be the biggest, but it has always been to be the very best,” Cory says. He is grateful that SERVPRO has given him the opportunity to engage with the community through various charities and local outreach programs, including Ronald McDonald House, Big Brothers Big Sisters KC, Kids TLC, Variety KC, and the Maranatha Family Worship Center.

    Mike Hogan

    Mike Hogan is our General Manager and part owner of SERVPRO®; Team Bates/Hogan. What he enjoys most about his job is building relationships with his co-workers and watching them reach their full potential. In his free time he likes to be outdoors with his wife and children.

    DJ Taylor

    DJ is our Project Manager on our team at SERVPRO of Norman. He oversees and manages restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time. DJ coordinates with clients, insurance adjusters, and team members to deliver top-quality restoration services. He takes pride in his strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, which enable him to manage multiple projects simultaneously. DJ enjoys traveling, fishing at the lake and playing with his dog, Artemis.

    John Woods is one of our Project Managers. With over five years of experience as a general contractor, I specialize in coordinating and executing restoration projects with precision and efficiency. My expertise lies in disaster recovery, risk assessment, and implementing cost-effective solutions that ensure client satisfaction and project success.

    Strong customer relations are at the core of my approach—I thrive on clear communication, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality results that exceed expectations. My ability to manage multiple stakeholders while keeping projects on track has earned me a reputation for reliability and professionalism.

    Beyond my career, I have a passion for scale remote-controlled trucks, where I enjoy building and customizing detailed models that reflect real-world engineering. This hobby not only fuels my creativity but also sharpens my attention to detail—an asset I bring to every project I manage.

    Whether restoring properties or refining my latest RC truck build, I am always focused on precision, innovation, and delivering exceptional results.

    Kolbie Jacoby

    Kolbie is our Director of Sales and Marketing and has been a dedicated member of the SERVPRO team since 2017, combining her passion for helping people with her expertise in restoring buildings and preventing business interruptions. With a background in hospitality management and a degree from Kansas State University, she brings a unique perspective to her role. Before joining SERVPRO, Kolbie spent five years as an event coordinator, where she developed a strong sense of empathy for her clients' needs. Starting as a Business Development Representative, she quickly advanced to Commercial Account Manager, and in 2022, she was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing. Now, she leads a team of 10 across four markets—Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, and Oklahoma—driving growth and scalability for the company. Outside of work, Kolbie is a proud wife to her husband John a financial advisor with Edward Jones and mom to their two year old daughter Collins.

    Jennifer Duncan

    Jennifer if our Office Manager and brings over six years of experience and leadership to her role at SERVPRO. Starting as a Receptionist, she quickly advanced through the ranks—serving as Job File Coordinator, Program Compliance Supervisor, and Compliance Manager—thanks to her deep knowledge of restoration services and third-party program guidelines. Jennifer holds an IICRC WRT Certification and leads with a strong foundation in compliance and team management.

    Beyond the office, Jennifer is a dedicated mom of two and an active community volunteer. She’s spent nearly a decade as a Girl Scout leader and brings creativity to local retirement communities through arts and crafts. On weekends, you’ll often find her cheering on her kids at bowling tournaments or spending time in the kitchen with her family.

    Heather Bates

    Heather is our Director of HR. Her high engagement and ingenuity landed her in the role of HR Representative she facilitates communication and collaboration between the experts in our various departmental fields. In her high-impact role, she problem solves to create clear, positive solutions that affect employees and customers.

    She promotes employee engagement and advancement by keeping the various departments current on new processes and events. We consider her the axel that keeps all of us spokes together and the wheel rolling towards our collective goals.

    When not here, she is often involved in some active and outdoorsy activities such as swimming, volleyball, and walking the dog.

    Denene Berry

    Restoration Technician

    Denene has been with SERVPRO®; since 2012 in fire restoration from Bethany, OK. She has done it all in fire restoration. Currently, her primary focus is maintenance. She helps manage the clean room and is responsible for workplace organization at our facilities. She keeps track of chemicals and supplies, and conducts regular safety and organization inspections on our vehicles.
