What Is the Mold Remediation Process?
Air Filtration
Our specialized filtration equipment allows our professionals to capture microscopic mold spores out of the air. We utilize powerful “air scrubbers” and HEPA vacuums to prevent the spread of these mold spores while the mold remediation is in process.
Removing Mold and Mold-Infested Materials
We use antifungal and antimicrobial treatments to treat mold colonies. When necessary to remediate heavy mold growth, our mold removal process includes the removal and disposal of mold-infested porous materials such as carpeting, drywall, and insulation.
Cleaning
Our professionals clean the structural elements that were infected by mold such as flooring, framing, fixtures, HVAC and mechanical systems. We will also work to improve the indoor air quality (IAQ) of the space. Other items may also require extra attention after a mold infestation, including curtains, décor and important documents.
Restoration
Depending on the level of mold damage, drywall, subfloors, and other building materials may be removed. Restoration may involve minor repairs, such as replacing drywall, painting, and installing new carpet. It may entail major repairs such as the reconstruction of various areas or rooms in your home.
Emergency Contact
The mold cleanup and restoration process begins when you call us. Our specialist will ask a series of questions to help us determine the necessary equipment, resources, and personnel needed for you and your home.
Inspection and Mold Damage Assessment
Our professionals will carefully inspect your property for visible signs of mold. Using a variety of technologies, we can detect mold and locate any hidden water sources so the mold will not return once the area is cleaned and the mold removal process has been completed.
Mold Containment
We use various containment procedures to prevent the spread and cross-contamination of mold. All fans and heating and cooling systems will be turned off to prevent the spread as our professionals work to mitigate your mold problem.

customers are saying
The professionalism of the team was fantastic. Great communication with everything that needed to be done to our home.
The amount of help and information I had was outstanding. Took one day to clean my home. I couldn't be happier with results.
It is always nice to have a team that you can trust with your home, they took the time to move my belongings so they wouldnt be damaged from the water or the work that was done.
Couldn't believe the promptness of the arrival during the storm and how fast the equipment was set up. Would recommend SERVPRO to anyone.
Never thought I would have to deal with a flooded basement from a washer machine, the fact that it happened was mind blowing. The drying process was quick and easy and was taken care of so professionally was amazing.
I called early hours in the morning before any business is usually even open hoping I can be one of the first jobs to be put on the list. To my surprise I received a phone call back just minutes afterwards and I was put right on the job list for the day!
We had a roof inspector come to our home and he found mold in our attic, the next day the team was out and handled our problem right away.
We got a new washer and dryer and found mold behind our old machines. After getting it inspected SERVPRO came right out and helped us resolve the issue.
I was dealing with a short sale and the house had mold that had to be removed, I called SERVPRO right away from hearing about them through word of mouth. They were able to help out right away with the proper precautions and steps. I will definitely be passing along the word about this company.

About Us
SERVPRO of Streamwood, Bartlett, West Chicago and Warrenville was acquired in 2014 and is Steve Pearson's (Owner) second SERVPRO franchise. Steve Pearson was born and raised in the Joliet area. Steve attended Lewis University where he graduated in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration. Upon graduating college Steve moved to the Kendall County area where he started working as a claims adjuster for Farmers Insurance. During his 10 years as an adjuster, he learned a lot about restoration first hand and eventually decided he wanted to be involved in that side of helping people. Using his adjuster experience, restoration knowledge, and a college degree, Steve met a SERVPRO franchise owner and decided to purchase a license to operate in Kendall County. After building and growing the Kendall County franchise Steve and his team expanded his franchise by taking over the Streamwood, Bartlett, West Chicago, and Warrenville territory. We have been in business for almost 15 years and bring a wealth of experience with a team of restoration professionals. With over 20 years of experience as a claims adjuster and on the restoration side, Steve and the SERVPRO of Streamwood, Bartlett, West Chicago, and Warrenville team pride themselves on taking whatever disaster comes their way and making it as SERVPRO says “Like it never even happened."
